The last post I made on here was a reflection on 2022, but I promise you I’ve been busy. Here’s what happened, what’s happening, and what happens next.
The Ten of Shrike and Krait
My heroic ensemble fantasy The Ten of Shrike and Krait went on submission to editors at the end of November! I’m ecstatic to finally get this book out the door. I spent a lot of this past year editing the book, which included gutting 17k words (oof). Now it’s in the hands of the editors and all I can do is wait. It only takes one yes.
Death and the Dyad
I finished writing another book! This one is a dark fantasy called Death and the Dyad, inspired by the monster hunting found in Castlevania, Van Helsing, and The Witcher. I envision it as being part of a duology. I turned it in to my agent and there it shall stay for the time being.
Next Project
The only thing better than finishing a book is getting to start a new one. I’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming, research and (gasp!) outlining – a little bit. This will keep my occupied and sane while I await news from editors.
